The National Math Panel's final report contains 45 findings and recommendations on numerous topics including instructional practices, materials, professional development, and assessments. Links to the full report, task group reports, subcommittee reports, and a fact sheet. See also a digital workshop for teachers called Math 911! and a short informational video that teachers can share with parents and community members about the Panel's recommendations.
- No Common Denominator: The Preparation of Elementary Teachers in Mathematics by America's Education Schools (June 2008)
Results of a two-year study supported by the National Council on Teacher Quality. The study evaluated the elementary education programs in a sample of 77 education schools in every state except Alaska. Participating Oregon universities were Concordia University, University of Portland, and Western Oregon University.
